Currently, Truecaller Assistant is only available for Android users, and iOS users will get access to it later.

What is Truecaller Assistant?

Truecaller Assistant is your personal assistant that helps you deal with spam calls. It will ask some questions on your behalf to the caller, and their responses will be displayed on your screen. This way, you can know what the caller wants to talk about and whether you need to answer the call or not. Truecaller claims that the Assistant is a customizable digital receptionist that can answer important calls for you and avoid unwanted ones.

Features of Truecaller Assistant

  • Truecaller Assistant can transcribe calls in three languages: English, Hindi, and Hinglish. Support for other regional languages may be available soon.
  • The Assistant can respond to the caller in five different voices, depending on the voice you choose, whether male or female.
  • It uses AI text-to-speech technology to transcribe the caller’s message in real-time.
  • There is also an option for screen recording, so you can review important details if you forget something from the call.
  • You can choose a customized greeting message for your assistant, so it conveys your message to the caller when you’re unavailable.

How to use Truecaller Assistant?

  • First, you need to have Truecaller installed on your phone.
  • After subscribing to Truecaller’s premium plan, your Truecaller Assistant will be activated.
  • Once activated and customized, your assistant will handle incoming calls automatically.
  • If you decline or don’t answer a call, it will be forwarded to Truecaller Assistant, and the assistant will ask the caller the questions you set.
  • You will see real-time information on your screen about the reason for the caller’s call and their identity.
  • You can ask your assistant to inquire further with the caller to decide if the call is important for you. Based on that, you can either pick up or decline the call.
