Spotify has increased its premium plans in several countries, including countries like the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Spotify has over 200 million premium subscribers worldwide, and this price hike is expected to boost the company’s profits.

Before this, Amazon, Apple, Tidal, and YouTube also increased their prices this year. Now, Spotify has joined the list of the latest streaming services to do so. Last year, Spotify had already raised its prices in several countries.

Spotify stated that the main reason for the price increase is to innovate and provide value to fans and artists. Fortunately, Indian users won’t have to face the impact of Spotify’s price hike as prices in India have not been increased for now.

In the US, Spotify increased the prices of its plans by $1, making the premium single plan $10.99, premium duo plan $14.99, premium student plan $5.99, and premium family plan $16.99. Existing users will also get a one-month grace period, while these new prices are already effective for new users.
