OpenAI Starts Rolling Voice and Image Capabilities to Its AI-Based Chatbot, ChatGPT

OpenAI continuously adds new features to its chatbot, ChatGPT, to provide users with an excellent experience. This time, they have added voice and image capabilities to their AI-based chatbot. These are undoubtedly great features that OpenAI has introduced in ChatGPT.

Notable Points:

  • ChatGPT now supports voice and image capabilities.
  • Android and iOS users will soon be able to make use of these features.
  • These features are available only for ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise users.

If you frequently use ChatGPT and prefer not to type, OpenAI has introduced new features where you can have spoken conversations with ChatGPT, and it will respond in kind. Additionally, you can now upload images to ChatGPT to ask questions. OpenAI provided an example of this in one of their posts on X.

OpenAI confirmed on Monday that they are adding voice and image capabilities to ChatGPT. These features will be available exclusively for ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise users, meaning free users won’t have access to them. OpenAI will roll out these two capabilities in the next two weeks. The voice communication feature will initially work only on iOS and Android devices, while the image feature will be available on all platforms. ChatGPT can converse with you in five different languages, which you can set according to your preferences.

On September 25, OpenAI announced:

We are beginning to roll out new voice and image capabilities in ChatGPT. They offer a new, more intuitive type of interface by allowing you to have a voice conversation or show ChatGPT what you’re talking about.

We’re rolling out voice and images in ChatGPT to Plus and Enterprise users over the next two weeks. Voice is coming on iOS and Android (opt-in in your settings) and images will be available on all platforms.
