motorola launched the motorola edge 40 neo globally on September 14th last week, and its Indian availability was confirmed to be on September 21st. Today, this phone has finally been launched in India. This is the second phone to join the edge 40 series and is priced lower than the motorola edge 40.

Today, motorola has finally launched the motorola edge 40 neo in India, which is a mid-range device and the second phone to join the edge 40 series. It’s the first phone in this range to offer a 144Hz curved display and an IP68 rating, which is quite impressive. This phone is available in three color options.

The motorola edge 14 neo features a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED curved display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and touch sampling rate of 360Hz. The display has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and is a 10-bit display with a peak brightness of 1300 nits. In terms of the display, this phone stands out, as a 144Hz curved display is not commonly seen in this segment.

The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7030 processor, built on a 6nm fabrication process, making it the first phone to feature this processor. It also has a Mali G610 MC3 GPU for graphics. The phone comes with 8GB and 12GB RAM options, which are LPDDR4X, and storage options include 128GB and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Speaking of the OS, this phone runs motorola’s MyUX skin based on Android 13, and motorola promises 2 years of major updates and 3 years of security updates.

In terms of the camera, the phone features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS support. It also has a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, which also functions as a macro and depth sensor. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera in a punch-hole design with an f/2.4 aperture.

The phone packs a 5000mAh battery, which is larger than the one in the moto edge 40, but it doesn’t support wireless charging, unlike the edge 40. You can charge the battery at 68W using TurboPower fast charging. In terms of connectivity and other features, the phone supports 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0 port, NFC, IP68 dust and water resistance, Dolby Atmos support, an in-display fingerprint sensor, ThinkShield, and stereo speakers.
